A New Chapter
It all started with an iPad. Well actually, it all started with a desire to buy an iPad, and the result is a blog. Interesting how things work. But let’s rewind a bit.
I won’t spend too much time introducing myself in this post, since all that stuff can be found in the about me page by clicking here. I assume if you’re continuing to read, that you have ready my introduction and philosophies for this blog. Anyways, let me give you the TLDR (too long didn’t read).
My name is Issa, and this is my blog, a new journey in my life that I am taking. I am currently living in Abu Dhabi, UAE, but can likely be found somewhere around the world. I want to dedicate this blog to sharing my true passions in life - to live, to eat, and to travel. More information about the philosophies can once again be found in the about page. Below are some pictures of me, in case you haven’t already run into all the ones spread across the website.
So, let’s get back to this blog. Well, I found that I needed a creative output in my life, which, unfortunately, I don’t have much off during my work. Thus, this blog came into fruition. The starting point is a blog, but I believe that it will be part of something much bigger than that, and I hope my feeling is correct. But, let’s not worry to much about the destination and instead focus on the journey.
The name comes from my Instagram, which is (un)ironically @liveeattravel . I came up with that name after watching Julia Robert’s Eat Pray Love - go figure. Still one of my favourite movies and I would recommend anyone go watch it. It really gives a different perspective on life. Many of us, during different stages of our lives, may reach a standstill. Well that movie helped me avoid reaching that stage, and I hope my blog can do the same for you.
So we’ve talked a bit about my history, observed me in my natural element, and heard about the origin of this blog, so I guess the only part left to talk about is my what you should expect from my blog. For starters, it is going to be authentic. I want to be as authentic as possible in all my posts here, and will try to write them in the informal sense. For content, expect the unexpected - really! All my posts should fit at least one of the three categories (live/eat/travel), but beyond that, who knows. You can read a daily blog, a recipe, or an airline review, or anything in-between. Expect all of those, but for now, expect my next post which will go into further detail about the purpose, etc.
